CD ReviewsNot his best 10/29/1998 (2 out of 5 stars) "Buddy Greco is one of my guilty pleasures. His style is admittedly not one in tune with the times, but noone can really sell a certain type of song like he can. That said, this album saddened me. I'm afraid he's lost his pipes to a large extent by the time he made this--his range is not there. This isn't a minor complaint--he can't sustain much, or play around with his voice like he used to. He still has the phrasing, and very good small-group accompaniment, but the tracks depress me compared to his earlier work. Wish I could find some more of the older recordings (his "16 Best" is excellent!)." Mr.B's tribute to personal friend Nat King Cole H D.
