Bruce Oakes====He was one of the gang when we pioneered Country Rock music in the Honky Tonk's of Southern California. We had the honor of playing on his first record in 1967, "The Lineman Song", along with Clarence White and Gene Parsons. He's one hell of a picker, singer and songwriter. Gib Guilbeau and Sneaky Pete Kleinow---"The Flying Burrito Brothers"

Bruce Oakes has been my friend for over 30 years. Aside from writing great songs and performing them in a pure and unpretentious way, Bruce is a rugged, salt of the earth individual that is becoming a rarity these days. A lineman for most of his working life, Bruce has played his music for fans all over the Great Northwest, and in between power outages and hi line crisis's Bruce recorded this C.D.---and I think you're going to like it. Gene Parsons
