CD Reviews

Bruce Dickinson shines in this sophomore effort!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you are looking for an Iron Maiden-esque cd, this is not the one for you. However, this brain-child from Bruce Dickinson is amazing in its own way. It's a fusion of punk rock, hard rock and metal in a very unique and satisfying way. The track Gods of War soars with the epic vocals that made Bruce so famous, while tracks like Laughing in the Hiding Bush and Shoot All the Clowns are infused with the punk attitude that helped create Heavy Metal. Even the slower songs like Change of Heart and Sacred Cowboys have catchy hooks that will keep you humming. The best of this cd is saved for last though with the epic Tears of the Dragon. My favorite song, leaning again towards Bruce's metal background and powered throughout by his mesmerizing vocals. I was completely surprised by this cd, not that I didn't expect Bruce to put forth an amazing product, but by its originality, scope and brilliance."
