Synopsis

Album Description

Jumping original and traditional French music from New Orleans's most popular Cajun entertainer--his late-'80s Sunday evening fais-do-dos at Tipitina's are a rendezvous for the area's Cajun dancers. His own high-spirited band is joined on this recording by some of Louisiana's finest musicians, including drummer Ken Blevins, known for his work with John Hiatt and others.

This is my favorite Cajun CD.

"Coeur des cajuns is my favorite Cajun CD, and one of my all-time favorites of any flavor. It has both fast and slow music, and is sung in both English and Cajun French. In fact, some songs are sung in both languages. It makes you feel like you're in the back bayous of Louisiana. I can't listen to it without tapping my feet and clapping my hands."

Makes me want to break out the gumbo!
