On this 1997 outing, the precocious pack of Broadway belters brings their stadium-size-and-still-growing pipes to the songs of the silver screen. Sometimes it works, mostly with classics like "Talk to the Animals" from Dr. Dolittle, "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins, and "High Hopes" from A Hole in the Head. Other times, like the theme to Ghostbusters, the effect is more weird than winsome; picture Ray Parker Jr. singing Annie's "It's the Hard-Knock Life."
