"Apparently this album wasn't even supposed to come out. In fact, the band said that the record was released without their knowledge. There was absolutely no promotion; it was just placed on a few stores' shelves one day. The trio have continually run into complications with their former record label (Carbon Copy Media) and are currently unsigned (according to their myspace page). It doesn't really matter, though, because this album is amazing!
The songwriting is great. Every song sounds different, yet one can recognize vocalist Justin Richards' distinct voice on each track. As far as I'm concerned, at least half the songs would go over well as singles. Each song has a poppy melody that I constantly find myself singing along to.
Favorite Songs: The Better Way, Television, Ready When You Are
One downfall to the album: Although I'm a fan of gang vocals, Brighten utilizes this tool on a lot of their songs. It takes away from Justin Richards' raw vocals."
