"another fast-paced thriller ~ Brian Tyler"
J. Lovins | Missouri-USA | 10/12/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Varese Records brings another Brian Tyler film score to the forefront "Paparazzi", featuring 32 short cues with aggressive arrangements loaded with action sequences laced with percussion galore ~ director Paul Abascal shows us just what we thought was going on with the Paparazzi, his cast for the film is right up there Cole Hauser [Bo Laramie], Robin Tunney [Abby Laramie], Dennis Farina [Detective Burton], the next four actors Tom Sizemore [Rex Harper], Daniel Baldwin [Wendell Stokes], Tom Hollander [Leonard Clark] play the paparazzi gang that Bo Laramie is up against.

A brilliant mix of musicians with Brian Tyler our composer, Adam Klemens is the conductor and Azan Aki on vocals ~ The City of Prague Philharmonic and The Northwest Sonfonia let the fur fly with forceful biting fast moving themes, perfect score for this film ~ opening "CAT AND MOUSE", with fast percussion mixed with echoing strings and brass, shifting to the next track "AFTERMATH", very large array of orchestration ethnic instruments and vocal sets the mood and the rest fall into place ~ give a listen to "PREMIERE", electric guitars and the strobe lights flicker in your eyes ~ "FANS AND LIGHTS", music box arrangement with a solo voice in the distance, a slower more sublime effect.

All the "film-score-buffs" are familiar with his past scores ~ instantly recognizable and lending to immediate credibility to any film he works on...Brian Tyler, just the way we like 'em!
