"Like the label that released it, this gem is long overdue. Brian Stoltz is a New Orleans guitarist/songwriter with impeccable credentials. He played guitar in Dr. John's band, the Neville Brothers, the Funky Meters and PBS (Porter,Batiste,Stoltz). He has also put out several solo albums. "Up All Night Live" is the latest solo album(excuse me,CD). Recorded live at Florida's Alligator Alley, it's a blazing collection of his solo tunes and a few choice covers. If his version of Dr.John's "I Been Hoodood" does'nt get you dancing, you're probably dead! Of course, you could say that about the entire CD. If you like ripping New Orleans Funk/Blues guitar in an excellently-recorded live setting, pick this up! And go see Brian with PBS or his solo band. He will blow your face off!"
