Synopsis

Album Description
Brian Nova combines a rare mixture of lightning-speed fretwork and beautiful romantic Jazz guitar in his fifth CD The Shadow of Your Smile. He is the only guitarist in the world who has studied and toured with the two titans of jazz guitar; Herb Ellis and Joe Pass. Although Nova sings on most of his recordings and during performances, this CD is all instrumental. Enjoy the beautiful technique and artistry of Brian Nova?s Jazz guitar with The Shadow of Your Smile.

CD Reviews

Thank You Mr. Nova
J. Scott | Palm Beach, FL | 07/11/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"From the smoky `Henry's Off-Broadway' days in Seattle, to packed houses on his world tours, and here once again on The Shadow of Your Smile, Mr. Nova lays down a sound that comes straight from his heart . A CD that can be equally appreciated by jazz aficionados and any listener who simply loves great tunes from an artist who has truly mastered his craft - who continues to evolve over time like a very fine wine. Thank you, Mr. Nova!

Rat Pack Hip!

"A friend took me along to see Brian Nova perform live in Seattle, and I thought I'd walked into a hip rat pack music set form the 50's! I was pulled into a genre of music I clearly didn't appreciate before that night. This CD demonstrates why 'big name' musicians call Brian when they need to lay down a guitar track. The vocals on his other CD's will make you want to run, not walk, to see him perform at the Victoria Jazz festival. He is so fun to watch live!"
Great Stuff. Thats Riighttt!

"I played this cd for the first time in my car and WOW! What a great cruisin set of tunes. Nice work Brian! Great guitar playing and I highly recommend this disc to anyone who loves Great Guitar work done right. I look forward to more!"
