Refreshed Brian!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Having bought Brian's 2 previous albums I wasn't sure what to expect with the new one. I loved Irish Son, which was some great song writing (supported by Guy Chambers) and great vocals. The follow up I purchased on the back on Brian's own song writing ability which was too often overlooked in his Westlife days (check out some of the B sides). Though I liked Set In Stone, it was more down beat and in some places seemed a little dark.

Wall of Soundz is amazingly bright and refreshing. The sound is completely different with a more electronic edge too it, but supported well by Brian's vocals that are stretched to new ranges. The songs are all good some more catchy than others.

Buy this if you like good songs, upbeat sounds and Brian's vocals. If you are looking for the more brooding darker angst then this may not be for you.

Shame Brian's music is being forgotten and not released in the UK (not sure about the US). Both this and the last album I had to purchase from Australia. Since the break up with Kerry, initally Brian was painted as the oger in the UK, and seriously damaged his career there. As we have all seen Kerry has more that proved there was more to this than meets the eye.

Brian is a great singer and songwriter and needs to be given a break in the UK and US. This is a very good album and sound that we are missing out on."
