Simple, but Very Effective Piano Music

"This is a very enjoyable, if short, piano CD. Brian Crain writes melodic pieces that cry out to be played time after time. The tracks make ideal background music, but also stand up to concentrated listening.There are two stand-out tracks. Track 5, "Inspiration" is incredibly simple and yet highly addictive and beautiful to listen to at the same time. It just goes to show that pieces do not have to be technically complex to be pleasing to the ear. "Across the Bay" is a more complex piece, but loses none of its beauty, and is a delight to listen to.With some lovely cover photography, this is a very well produced and presented album.Brian Crain is clearly an accompolished pianist, and I look forward to hearing more of his releases soon.If you are a fan of New Age piano music, and enjoy relaxing, highly melodic pieces, this CD is for you. It is far from demanding, and is the perfect CD to unwind to. I can recommend it."

"This is an excellent CD. I had the pleasure of meeting Brian when he was in town a few years ago. I bought his CD on a whim, and still listen to it regularly. If you enjoy the piano, then this is a must have. It stirs the emotions."
