"THIS IS THE HOTTEST ALBUM RECORDED IN NASHVILLE IN YEARS!!!" "This album was recorded between March 19th, and March 21st, 2001 at Bayou Recording, in Music City, USA. The chief engineer, George Clinton, has been with me for over 10 years. And the session pickers read like a "who's who" of Nashville session players. The session leader, Danny Parks, has been the Stardust band leader for 13 years and does all the electric and acoustic guitar parts. Michael Blaustone has been drumming on Stardust sessions for over 10 years. Buddy Hyatt has also been with me for a long time on piano and digital synthesizers. Larry Franklin, on fiddle, started with me in 1975 in Austin, Texas as a member of the COODER BROWNE band that recorded on WILLIE NELSON'S 'LONE STAR RECORDS' and, later, MERCURY RECORDS. Larry has also played fiddle on albums by ALAN JACKSON, REBA McENTIRE, MARK CHESTNUTT, SHANIA TWAIN and many other major stars. ROBBY TURNER, on steel guitar, tours with the "HIGHHWAY MEN", consisting of members WILLE NELSON, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, JOHNNY CASH and WAYLON JENNINGS. Seeking a "jazz" feel, we brought in JIM HOKE on saxophone. MIKE CHAPMAN has played bass on Stardust sessions for over 12 years and he played bass on six of the songs, then had to leave for a GARTH BROOKS session (he plays bass on all BROOKS sessions).
