One of the great "secret" CD's, a joy to listen!

"Mr. Levy is an extraordinarily accomplished classical artist. His interpretation of Brahms is sensitive, exciting, and emotional without coming off as effected or grandstanding. I don't understand why more people haven't "discovered" Mr. Levy's work. His CD's are under the radar, but some of my all time favorites.

He is on the faculty at the pre-college at Juilliard. He studied under Leon Fleisher at Peabody and he has a similarly sensitive and intuitive way of interpreting music as Mr. Fleisher (yet uniquely his own). Mr. Levy utilizes a wide range of phrasing, intensity and "colors" in his performance. It is both exciting at times as it is soothing and yearning at others. I love this CD and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys classical music and in particular if you appreciate the range of expression and beauty of Brahms."
