Frontman Boyd Small was a local hero in the Portland area as singer/drummer of the Terraplanes for 11 years. He drummed with Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, Guitar Shorty and Pinetop Perkins to name a few. After touring Europe with Monti Amundson in 1997 he moved to Amsterdam. He recorded three critically acclaimed albums including two with the 9-piece Boyd Small band and one with his 4 piece band. As an ex-patriot and Portland native Boyd Small on one of his return visits to the great northwest, rounded up the cream of the crop. Featuring the best blues guitarists Portland, Oregon, USA has to offer his new CD is also a must for blues guitar lovers. On guitars are Monti Amundson, Peter Damman (Paul Delay Band), Josh Fulero (Curtis Salgado Band) and Lloyd Jones.
