A Most Brilliant Collection For Young Children, Parents, And
H. Carone | Chicago, IL | 06/27/2008

"Bobby Susser continues to prove how outstanding he is at communicating healthy and constructive ideas to young children while he thoroughly entertains them with his songs and activities. In this collection, that more than joins the elite ranks of his "Wiggle Wiggle And Other Exercises","Animals At The Zoo", and "The Album For All Seasons", he superbly highlights, to young children, the importance of home, family, and belonging through some of his most impressive songs to date. My pre-school class had no difficulty learning and loving to sing the opening little song "We're Never Far From Home." It's a short song that creates a peacefulness and security that prepared them for the title song, "All Roads Lead To Home." The children loved it from the first time they heard it and sang along. It has a glorious, high energy, repetitive, Bobby Susser chorus that rocks the room, and delivers this message to all the kids. Mr. Susser does not preach. Instead, he gives the children a good time feeling with the constant message of how important home and family is, in a subtle way with songs like "Grandma's Eyes", "My Room", "Little Brother, Little Sister", and the most blatant, "All You Need Is Your Family." One of his biggest surprises and treasures, if not his biggest yet, and for all ages, is the song "70 (Bringin' It Home To You). This song is quite adult, and as one of my colleagues first thought, one might initially wonder how this song found its way to this CD. The answer, no doubt is: Absolute brilliance, perception of the highest degree, and incredibly unique communication skills with all ages. The rhythm is great for kids and adults, the chorus feels good for anyone, and while the singers are singing "I'm Seventy", the feelings and story are so home and family oriented and based, the song not only fits, but teaches that this is a fit for everyone, and belongs to any age group. Our teachers enjoy singing "70" just as much as our children do. This entire collection about the importance of home, family, and belonging is undoubtedly brilliant.

"All Roads Lead To Home" Is Extraordinary For Young Childre

"Bobby Susser gets better as a young children's songwriter and producer with every new collection he creates. While he uses his repetitive chorus lines with his lyrics and melodies, he creates catchy ones that maintain a high level of interest from his young listeners. His productions are very professional, accenting the points of interest so everyone joins in. I have taught young children in day care centers, nursery schools, and 1st grade for several years, and use music with the children on a regular basis. Some favorites I and the children have had through the years have been collections by, Bobby Susser. In this collection, "All Roads Lead To Home", it looks as though Bobby Susser has topped himself. Through the use of his Bobby Susser repetitive and infectious choruses, and uplifting feelings in his songs, Bobby breaks new ground. While he continues to write for the children, he's gone right to the heart of a very important matter, (Home and Family). The songs and activities are nothing short of marvelous. Using jazz like feelings on some keyboards, hymn styles, rock n' roll and rhythm n' blues rhythms, and sensitive vocalists, he has created this collection "All Roads Lead To Home", which includes, the title song, "My Room", "Grandpa Knows So Many Things", "All You Need Is Your Family", "Grandma's Eyes", and the song for all ages, "70 (Bringin' It Home To You)." The songs invite the young audience in on the messages (Home and Family), and it's like a big party. After all the years I've worked with children, and used music to teach the younger ones, it's safe for me to say that this group of songs "All Roads Lead To Home", for young children, is an extraordinary piece of work.

All Kids' Songs Lead to Bobby Susser

"I stumbled across Bobby Susser's latest CD (All Roads Lead To Home) while performing my own material at a local library. I entertain and educate children, too, so I'm always interested in what Mr. Susser is doing. He's a benchmark for us.

Well...it's his best yet. It has all the usual Susser trademarks (great engineering, catchy melodies, endearing artwork and packaging) but this one is richer, deeper, and more universal. I found myself, as an adult, just as enraptured by his lyrics and music as the kids who were with me when I listened to it.

This is true growth...perhaps full maturity for Bobby Susser as a producer of children's music. His phrasing and structure and (dare I say it) SOUL is exposed here for all of us to share.

And grow from. Yes, children will love it, as every possible theme of home is explored and honored and felt.

But "All Roads Lead to Home is for the child in all of us. May that person never grow up. For it keeps us young.
