CD ReviewsAlmost Won The 1977 Latin Grammy Award!!!! R. A. Solomon | 12/16/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "I had Paunetto's Point on LP, and it is great Latin Jazz. On trumpet is jazz great Tom Harrell, and there is not one weak cut.
The 2nd CD, containing all tunes from the LP "Commit to Memory", is good but not as consistent and has 3 or 4 very strong cuts. This 2-CD set is a bargain - get it if you can. In 1977 Eddie Palmieri's "Unfinished Masterpiece" and the LP "Paunetto's Point" were nominated for Best Latin Album - Eddie won, but Bobby could have, and both are masterpieces. Highly recommended." |
