CD Reviews

Jazzy, soft and it makes you feel good.

"This the most recent of the recordings by Bo Kaspers Orkester is what you're looking for if you're a person who's life rushes past to fast. Listening to the the lovely tunes with the soft, jazzy feel and the great lyrics reminds you of the things you're missing when rushing through your life. This laid back music is great if you're in that slow, sleepy, and feeling great kind of mood. It works well no matter what the weather is. It can be raining, it can be that lovely summer night, the music fits in. And this music's great when you're in love..."
The PERFECT album

"like all of the reviews by non-swedes, i do not understand a "lick" of swedish either. (well, with the exception of a few words like hello and goodbye) however, the composition of BKO's music is so powerful that it really doesnt matter. i can't tell you how many people i have recommended this album to. i was first introduced to BKO in helsingborg, sweden in 1999 by a friend/holiday lover. it is one of those albums that i always go back to, and is usually one of the selections in my cd changer. when i tell people about this album my standard line is, "if i were trapped on a deserted island with a cd player and one cd, this would be the cd i would bring." that is a pretty powerful statement when it comes to music. lol! of course i would need lots of batteries!
the range of emotions one feels from these songs is unexplainable. its like going to the opera and you dont understand a word, yet you know everything they are saying. BKO expresses this exactly and with no actual visuals. it makes your imagination go wild. it brings up feelings so intense about a past lover, a current lover, a relaxing evening sipping on cocktails with friends, or a rainy afternoon cuddled up in bed watching the drops fall on the windowpane.
this truly is an album for all occasions where you want to feel warm, cozy, and content. the flow from song to song is as if you were floating on a river without a care in the world.
if you are looking to add a cd to your collection that challenges your mind and all feeling you possess, pick up this or any of the BKO albums. i guarantee you will be please. i still cant believe it took me this long to post.
enjoy!"
Swedish Cool

"I discovered Bo Kaspers Orkester while I was living in Stockholm. At the time, I was still learning Swedish and just enjoyed their smooth, jazzed style. But when I began to understand the words, I liked them even more. It's perfect hanging-out music, an album I listen to over and over - in the same way you can listen to "Kinda Blue" all day long.Get this album, it is a great music country's most recent take on Swedish Cool."
