"I'm a bit biased, as The Bluebirds are one of the things that makes our exile in Shreveport bearable, but I really think that this is a great CD. They have another one, apparently not available here, that is even better. We just saw them playing again last night at the Red River Revel, and while they did not play much of their own stuff, it was great to see them again. When they DO play their own stuff, it is dynamite - excellent blues. Buddy is a true master of the slide guitar. Buy the CD and let the music carry you away :-)"

"THERE WAS NOT EVEN ONE SONG ON THIS CD, THAT I DID NOT LIKE. WAS IN THE STYLE OF ERIC CLAPTON, WITH FRESH,NEW MUSIC.IF YOU LIKE "WONDFUL TONIGHT" YOU WILL LOVE "FIRST YOU CRY" ," NO MORE CANE ON THE BRAZOS" IS IN THE STYLE OF "UNPLUGED". TESTING THE WATER AND LEAVING MISSISSIPPI, HAS THAT TRUE LOUISIANA BLUES SOUND! I AM A TRUE E.C. FAN AND WHEN I FOUND THESE GUYS IN SHEVERPORT, I THOUGHT I DIED AND GONE TO BLUES HEAVEN! TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT!"
