"Again, Blue have put the wrong songs on their albums. Hey, I love Blue's two albums (they're my two favourite CDs in my CD collection), but they could think about their songs before they release them. They have released the "U Make Me Wanna" single, whacking on a unreleased B-side to fill up the room on the CD. 'Hey, no one listens to these songs, do they?' Their record company thinks. BUT I DO!!!!! I love their B-side songs more than their real songs. "Love RIP" (on the "Fly By" single), "Sweet Thing" (on the "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" single) and the song on this single "Made For Loving You" are among my favourite Blue songs of all time - along with "Back Someday" (from the 1st album) and "Get Down" (from the 2nd album).Anyway, onto the CD itself. This is the eighth Blue single in NZ, and the seventh in the UK. The song hit number four when it was released in May 2003. It was the last song to be released from the #1 album "One Love".
All this adds up to be one chart friendly hit - with a great lineup of songs to add to that. Here is my rundown, including the video clips:1. U Make Me Wanna
This is the radio edit of the song, and I like it better then the one on the album. I love the music, I love the vocals and the song never gets boring. It's radio friendly, clocking in at 3:39 minutes. Great song to release. 5/5
2. U Make Me Wanna (Urban North Edit)
Brilliant! I love the Blue remixes, they're the best remixes ever. They don't mangle the song or make it into those boring dance versions with one beat for 10 minutes, these ones are the same song, with different music, at a reasonbly short time, close to the original song's running time. This remix is 3:18 minutes, shorter then the original track. It's almost as good as the radio edit. I love the guy's vocals, they sound fresher then on the original. 5/5
3. Made For Loving You
It's worth paying the import price just for this one track! This is such a magnificant song! It's worth more then just a b-side on a single! I love it! It's a ballad, but not Westlife like, it's midtempo with great vocals from the guys. I love Duncan's vocals at the beginning (if you haven't guessed from all my other reviews for Blue, I LOVE HIM!), and the chorus is catchy. This song brings tears to my eyes, and one time I listened to it, I cried. It's so beautiful, I love the music, I love everything about it! Buy this for this song! 5,000,000/5
4. U Make Me Wanna video
A great video! This features Blue and their dancers (who are their friends) on a boat, having fun. Each boy sings their part on their own. Cute video. 5/5
5. Video 4 x 30 Second Clips
This is 4 30 second video clips, taken from the Blue Tour DVD (which I own, so I've already seen them). They are:
1. Are we sex symbols?
2. A cappella "Long Time"
3. Behind the scenes of "U Make Me Wanna"
4. Favourite...
All are great. An interesting addition to the single, a must checkout if you have a computer that can play them. 5/5Overall, a good value single, that is jampacked full of goodies. But in my personal opinion, it is worth buying just for "Made For Loving You", which is apart from "Back Someday", Blue's best ballad to date (but I hear that Blue's new single is another great ballad). Buy it now!(their new single "Guilty" is out October 12th, 2003)"
