Synopsis

Product Description
Peter Jackson isn't the only Australian infamous for his Bad Taste... Northcote's own BLOOD DUSTER sunk to new lows for the second full-length Str8outtanorthcote. No topic was sacred as the boys attacked girls, punks, vegetarians, hippies, the record industry and even Relapse. Their spot-on balance of groove to grind in their masculine musical posturing makes Str8outtanorthcote a mandatory, myopic masterpiece. Now with 9 bonus blasts of black humor and blast beat boogie grinding rock yafuck!

ONE OF THE CRAZIEST GRIND ALBUMS EVER!!!
rich neyland | 09/24/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"while somewhat of a departure in style from "yeest", this album is still just as freaking awesome, if not better. Think of a rockabilly band that decided to get high, watch alot of porn + bad horror movies, and then decided to play grindcore/death metal - "deathabilly" as I like to call it. This album is absolutely insane, how these guys manage to play so fast boggles my mind. The samples between tracks are even better than on "yeest" (skynard... lynard skynard!!!). Definietly a must own CD for any metal freak. Now if only these wankers could tour the states - I can't even fathom what their live shows must be like!"
Stoner rock masterpiece

(5 out of 5 stars)

"For all those who did not like this album because it didn't compare to cult extreme metal bands with high-end production and state-of-the-art audio equipment so you could hear every single overused double-kick beat crystal clear, you COMPLETELY missed the point. Blood Duster is a grindcore band in name only. They sound grindcore enough on the first listen but you can also detect a HUGE punk/southern rock influence. They are, more or less, a condensed stoner rock/sludge band. I can hear a little Melvins, ZZ Top, and a tremendous amout of Kyuss on here. Take all the catchy nineties hooks and riffs you can think of, shorten them to be played with a thrashy drumbeat and heavily fuzzed guitars, and cut the song to about 30 sec. to 1:40, and eliminate all solos, except for an outstanding one at the very end, and you have this album. "Celebrating 35% Pigfat" has the best punk/metal guitar riff EVER. I wish that song was maybe a minute longer. The instrumental track sounds like music to listen to in a beat-up pick-up truck going 70 mph through the sticks with cops chasing you. The unlisted final track is some of their best work. The aforementioned solo is a stoner rock odyssey. Don't buy this album if you are into serious grindcore/extreme metal. Just because they have the word "Blood" in their name doesn't mean all of their songs are, well..."blood" related."
