CD Reviews

Quiet Reconstructions
V. Lara | Houston, Texas | 03/14/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I bought this after already having purchased the regular edition, and I dont mean the Quango/American release, I mean the version with the title track on it. (The Quango/American release does not include the title track, but is actually a combination of the "Quiet Letters" and "Afterlife" albums.) This version of the album has all the songs from the initial release ,including the title track "quiet letters" and a bonus cd entitled "Quiet Reconstructions", sorry if this is a little confusing, it is not my intent to. The track listing for "Quiet Reconstructions" cd is as follows;

1. Wish U Were Here (Charles Webster Remix)

2. Long Life (Herbert's 2000 uht Mix)

3. Don't Look Back (Fug Remix)

4. Right Here (Bliss Remix)

5. Kissing (Instrumental Version)

6. Long Life (Bonobo Instrumental Remix)

7. Dunia (Visti & Meyland Mix)

8. Long Life (Christophe Goze Remix)

9. Don't Look Back (Fug Dub 2)

I already had the normal cd, but I really just bought this version of it for the bonus disc, and it was definitely worth it. For anyone new to Bliss, their music contains elements ambient production & classical music, fused with tribal percussion, and light dub beats & production courtesy of the Banzai Republic. The end result is nothing less than amazing, but if you are still in doubt, I believe there are some audio samples available on the other "Quiet Letters" item profile."
