"I just ordered this and wanted to let everyone know that this is the 23-track 2007 remastered edition. So buy it already! Who doesn't want to own a heavy metal concept album about Tolkien's The Silmarillion?"
Nightfall...Remastered

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The 5 stars is for the album itself on this and the original - the opus Blind Guardian put out that many have come to know as perhaps one of their best if not their best. If you've already heard this album then you know what I'm talking about - Blind Guardian with the sophisticated power metal sound unique with medieval like melodies which fits nice with the theme of Middle Earth in the whole album, after all it is a concept album. Memorable tracks like "Into The Storm" and "Mirror Mirror" are fan favorites at their shows, some of their most well known songs are here. You'll get the same music from the original on this remastered version.

The thing is...Nightfall didn't really need a remaster because the quality of the music and loudness was already on par with modern metal albums and there's nothing wrong with the production either. The difference is just the extra track "Harvest of Sorrow" and revamped album artwork, linernotes, and fancier fonts for the lyrics as goes for all of the Blind Guardian remastered series. If you're new to Blind Guardian and you don't own any of their albums, the remaster of Nightfall is a good place to start, but if you're satisfied with what you can find easily in stores and something that isn't imported then just get the original version. Highly recommended - 5 stars."
Great Reissue

"Definately Blind Guardian's finest moment, there's not a weak track on this album. As stated in a previous review; the original recording was great but the remaster just punches it up a little bit (just not as much as the other Blind Guardian remasters, which the previous albums needed it). Any power metal fan that doesn't own "Nightfall in Middle Earth" is truly missing out."
