From the quintessential pop sound of "The Night I Met Elise" to the crunching rock on "Whatsoever Feels Right", through the Latin-influenced "Asking Around", Bleeding Charity shows their versatility. As the CD progresses from one track to the next, the variety prevents it from slipping into the monotony so common in pop albums today.Amidst all the varied tracks, Brewer's genuine lyrics and clear, impassioned vocals lend consistency and define the band's sound. It's refreshing to hear lyrics with meaning, and few couldn't empathize with their stories of life and love and loss. The story-telling style portrays these familiar feelings in a new light. In sum, if you like Collective Soul or the Goo Goo Dolls, you should buy Letters From A Dormitory Misfit."
