Audio-biography + interviews and a free mini-poster With a style fusing bar-room R&B and southern US rock, The Black Crowes have attracted millions of fans the world over to their retro, deep-rooted no-frills approach. 'Maximum Black Crowes' tells the complete and unauthorised story of the band from their earliest days in Atlanta through the long struggle to build a following at a time when their particular brand of music was out of fashion. With the tide turning against stadium rock, their 1990 debut album 'Shake Your Money Maker' appealed as a simpler rock alternative taking the charts by storm and spawning a string of top forty album and singles that have taken the Crowes onto international rock superstardom. A great opportunity to get the real background to one of the worlds most popular groups.

"I got the Maximum Black Crowes album because I was hoping to find out some information about the band that I didn't know already, as well as to hear some cool interviews. Instead I get a British lady talking about them the whole time with the exeption of a short sound bite from what was usually Chris Robinson at the beginning of each track. And when I say short I mean no more than 30 seconds. Also, a large majority of the CD was dedicated to discussing their album and its tracks. What they sound like, the styles on each CD, how they changed styles over the years, etc. The problem is, I already have the CD's and know what they sound like. If I wasn't a Crowes fan and didn't have the albums, I wouldn't of bought this CD in the first place. But I am, so they're telling me absolutely nothing that I didn't know already. The Behind the Music told me more and was more interesting. Any Black Crowes fan would learn nothing from this CD. I would only recommend this album to someone who has none of the albums and is not really a Crowes fan."

"I have been a die-hard Black Crowes fan since their start nearly 20 years ago and I can say without a doubt that this is the worst, most worthless biography of any band ever told. It sounds like a cheep sales pitch to buy their albums. With the exception of a few minor tidbits about the early days, essentially no useful information is revealed. I would ask for my money back if I knew a way to do it. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!"
