CD Reviews

Good, but maybe wait for domestic
J. T. Fields | Atlanta, GA USA | 11/01/2000
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This would be a definite buy if it were out domestically. But like most small UK bands, they lack the funds (or their domestic label lacks the drive) to make it available here. I think it's worth the price for the single "Found a Way Out" alone. "Solair" is another standout. However, there is a vague 70's feel to the overall album. If you happen to like the Paul McCartney/Crowded House pop type of sound you'll like this album. Overall a solid album with a few songs that will surely grow on you."
Lost gem
Glenn Johnson | Kentucky, USA | 01/02/2009

"I was living in England when this album came out and I don't remember a thing about it. Don't remember hearing any of the songs from it played on the radio or seeing any videos from it. Somehow I acquired an mp3 of Found A Way Out and that got me to seeking out the album.

I agree with Mr Fields in that there is a definite 70's feel to the album. The fact that Blue Weaver who played keyboards on many albums in the 70's (including the Bee Gees) and Steve Holley who was the drummer with Wings for a while help give it that sound. No idea who DL the main composer is but I do like this album."
Superb!!

"One of the very few CD's I own where you can actually hear AND feel the bass line. I can't really compare it to anything out there at the moment. It was novel in 2000 when the CD came out, and there still is anything as sophisticated - except perhaps something like Coldplay. If you want to hear great songs, great guitars, superb basslines, excellent vocals, and something special and different, then this is probably worth the money. It's a shame they haven't released any more material."
