"Yes, Bireli Lagrene is making history since he started his Gipsy project. In this new offering he plays the same swinging and gipsy-blues infected guitar phrasing. The novelty here is the more modern concept provided by the supporting band. In fact, Andre Cecarelli's drum playing is top notch, and the addition of saxophonist Franck Wolf adds a wellcome mainstream or west coast jazz flavour to the already exquisite gipsy sound of previous releases. If you like Bireli's gipsy project recordings you will sure love this. If you like bebop guitar ala Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell or Johnny Smith, you will love this, too."
