"Just got back from Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia where Bill O'Connell, Dave Valentin and Anthony (the drummer) did a fantastic job. They are currently promoting another CD which will come out in April 2008.So while I did not listen to this CD, I have listened to 3 hours of fabulous latin jazz and I can say this is a talented crew. Dave Valentin- how spontaneous, lively and fun!Can't wait to get this Latin JazzFantasy CD and play it in my car.Highly recommend these artists!"

I first became aware of Mr. O"Connell when I saw him on a DVD titled "Legends of Jazz", produced by the PBS series of the same name. This program is excellent and let me say that O'Connell"s performance as backup to Dave Valentin's "Obsession" was about the greatest jazz piano performance I have ever seen and I have seen just about all of them. His hands prance at lightning speed and when the camera was on his face, I could see the passion of his craft. I decided right then and there to purchase" Latin Jazz Fantasy" . Absolutley lovely CD especially the song on tract 7,entitled Laurie. A very talented man, no doubt about it. The money you spend on his CD's are worth it! Thanks Larry Rosen, producer of Legends for bringing him to the forefront!
