"God, in the slim likelihood that a member or a close friend of a band member even glances at this review DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT retire your wonderful music. This album is a collaboration of different genres; rock, indie, alternative, shoegaze, which all serve as utensils in compiling such an amazing sound. It's a shame that Big Soy's EP is not also found on Amazon. If you like Interpol, if you like Desaparecidos, if you like Tapes n Tapes, take a listen (EP first if you please). After a week of listening, I have found myself singing along to nearly every song on both albums. Note to the band: I don't know what the music scene is like in Texas, but I can guarantee, you could develop a more than adequate fan base in New Jersey. With a better label, a little more production value, and the same gritty, low-fi, lyrical splendor, Big Soy has a great potential to top charts on Stereogum and other such fan-based arenas. With the commercial indie pop thats force fed to the masses its a shame that bands as talented as this go under the radar."
