"This is a superb album of acoustic Delta blues featuring Thom Roberts (vocals) and the incomparable Carlos Del Junco (pronounced "HUNco"). Del Junco is better known in his Canadian stomping grounds around Toronto and Ontario, but deserves to be better known everywhere, as perhaps the finest blues harp player ever. That may sound extravagant, but just listen to this and his only other US released CD, "Big Boy", and you will be convinced. Del Junco produces and extraordinary range of notes, chords, and cascading harmonies never before heard from so humble an instrument, and sings with a sinewy vocal style reminiscent of Paul Butterfield.
