2009 release. Simply put, Big L is Harlem's greatest emcee...the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Known for his gritty street tales and flawless flow, "L Corleone" was first introduced to the masses in 1992 through various mixtape appearances and his DITC affiliation. After releasing a critically-acclaimed yet poorly marketed debut album in 1993, Big L's sophomore album, The Big Picture, went gold in 2000. Unfortunately Big L never got to see how his music truly affected people, as his life was tragically cut short in 1999. Harlem's Greatest pays ode to an emcee who was way ahead of his time and one of the best to ever do it.
