Synopsis

Album Description
The life of the Beloved CD began as I traveled country roads in the United States and heard a hauntingly beautiful melody inside of me. The melody is the song of the love of The Beloved for us. This expression of love has allowed the music of The Beloved to become an instrument of healing and of creative inspiration throughout the United States and Canada. Thank you to David Tovey for singing the melody of The Beloved on track one, and for adding the violin obligato. As I took the music of The Beloved into the Mayan lands of Central America and Mexico, the album continued to develop from the original two tracks. The Watchers, Stille Pointe, Chilam, Walking the Labyrinth and Mayan Portal all were created from the inspiration of Mayan travels and my experience of the Beloved. The music of The Watchers begins as a drum beat...the heart...created as I play a large circular drum from the Mexican highlands. It's sound is strength and courage. Then the voices begin as a chorus and a flute melody line which is expressive and beautiful. The song of The Watchers builds into a mighty pipe organ hymn which sings of purpose and courage in life. As the music of The Watchers begins to close, you will hear the crakling of the energy and a mighty wind which draws you into your own center. The musical motif sung by the violins of Stille Pointe is repeated over and over as we move deeper into inner silence. Then, in the silence, there is a call to action invoked by Mexican flute. This is Chilam which means sacred speech, and if you listen very closely you will hear my voice singing the melody. Out of the experience of Chilam, the music moves into Walking the Labyrinth and finally into Mayan Portal. All of this music is characterized by drum, strings, piano, Mayan flute, and electronic sounds of energy emerging.
