Obvious Attempt to Summon Elves Into our Fragile Ecosystem
07/30/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The communistic-Trotskyist propaganda purveyed by this "Betwixt" is probably the most blatant since Killdozer's _Uncopromising War on Art Under the Dictatorship of the Proletariet_ Beyond which, the inclusion of excerpts from both the Gnostic Gospels as well as ancient Templar manuscripts make it clear that this music, these chants are in acctuality Occult rituals with the sole intended purpose of summoning evil, vicious elves with sharp teeth and claws into the fragile ecosystem of our Island Earth. One only wonders agog at what hidden meaning may lie behind the crypto-numerology of the brilliant pop-song, "Lucky 13." Furthermore the philetology and numisatics of "Strange Girl" and "Our Tusk," respectively are indicative of nothing less than a genius-overmind intelligence, perhaps of some dimension-skipping extraterrestrial ground sloth, which has guided these 4 musicians into a artistic project which is no less than planetary treason. These songs will demolish whatever chartrusse shields which keep you sane, and will pave the way for a rocket attack, possibly of Martian origin. I recommend you barter to your Prefectural Culture and Leisure Purveyor as much as a shovel and 3 carambola for this fine and outrstanding testament to the value of Scientology and duct tape. Also good if you liked Turkish Delight, Can, Dokken or Backstreet Boys."
