Quick run through of Wright's Peak Years

"Nine of these 12 songs are on Rhino's "Very Best of", which at 16 songs and for the same price is a better deal. Peter Brown's "Dance With Me", which Wright sang on is included, but the inclusion of Brown's "You Should Do It" is stretching it as Wright was a mere background vocalist on that track. There are brief liner notes and chart peak/album information as this CD covers the years 68-78. Betty Wright is an often overlooked singer of 70's Soul. But her Soul Sister Power has never sounded better. This CD is an okay substitute for Very Best Of, but if you have to pick one go with the latter."
