BETH WATERS RELEASES ANOTHER GEM OF A CD
BCP | SF, CA USA | 01/26/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Since my review here of Beth's self-titled album in early 2006, I have anxiously awaited the release of her latest CD. To say the least, This Little Piggy does not disappoint in any way. I went to see Beth perform in San Francisco, yet again, this time at her CD release party in January 2007. The CD was being sold in advance there, so I purchased several copies for friends and family, and for me, of course.

This CD is another phenomenal effort and is also one of my favorite CDs in my large collection. From gorgeous songs like White Rabbit, to catchy songs like This Little Piggy, to eerie songs like Dark Road to Hell, the CD just flows. Nice Guys is a lullaby, Afraid of Love is a fun tune, Forms of the Truth is just awesome, and there is even a wonderful cover of Paul Simon's Slid Slidin Away. There are other great songs and the CD never stops showing Beth's wide array of phenomenal talents as a songwriter, musician, and singer.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, if you get the chance to see her perform locally in the San Francisco area, I highly recommend you go. I truly believe it is just a matter of time until Beth is no longer a local secret out here. You can always keep up on the latest from Beth on her MySpace page anytime you wish.

If you really like the female singer/songwriter genre of Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Vienna Teng, Charlotte Martin, and others, I think it is very safe to say that you will have a great appreciation for Beth. She may not be as well known as some of these artists yet, but to me, her music is just as high-quality and enjoyable as theirs. Enjoy!!!"
