Bernhard Drax became sick of being a sideman and formed his own outfit in August 2000. This first solo project allowed him to fulfill his vision of intimate songs with a weird twist. He recorded "life goes on...and then it's over" in September 2000 in Munich, German , with a bunch of old friends. It took 10 days to complete and Pro Tools was never used. The album features 8 very personal tunes, full of Bernhard's special kind of surreal humor and musical preferences for Mr. Bungle, Suzanne Vega, King Crimson and Bela Bartok.
