"ANY Benny Is Great Benny , His Talent Is Plenty, So Buy Many, Many Of Benny.

I'm just not a believer in the fact that Benny was at his best from 1938-1942 and was never the same - He certainly had band members that went on to prove themselves worthy of leading on their own talents , but Benny was able to highlight them without taking away from his own performance. They say he was arrogant, Well, Maybe a little too much for certain personalities, but he brought up many,many talents by featuring them. A truely cocky musician wouldn't have made that decision and would have kept the solos to a minimum, the featured spots to a minimum, and taken more extended solos for himself, he never did that because it was about the band, not any 1 person. Maybe the other guys got cocky and turned it around on Benny, but the news wouldn't report that because it's easier to pick on the popular guy right ?? Anyway, Benny was always "on" , even when his back was nothing but a pain in the back !! He was a true, dedicated, one of a kind, once in a lifetime musician.
