"So this is Gospel Jazz. No wonder I feel so good when I listen to the smooth jazz jams of multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger and writer, Ben Tankard. It's been more than 15 years since he set the standard for this genre called Gospel Jazz. With a mission to soothe troubled spirits and uplift the downtrodden with his gifts, Pastor Tankard achieves success for both jazz enthusiasts and those simply seeking encouraging and joyful music. PIANO PROPHET starts things off on this renewing and refreshing project with the inspiring 1979 hit from McFadden & Whitehead, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" featuring Ben's articulate piano playing. Following this is the Smoothjazz.com Hot Pick, "Piano Prophet." And wait until you wrap your ears around the lush, and elegant, "Touch And Agree," with sax playing from Merlon Divine that may bring to mind early recordings of Sadao Watanabe. The soulful, "Jesus Is Love," is a sweet, spiritual vocal featuring Shirley Murdock. We are also taken by the smooth and breezy, "Positive Change," and the sophisticated, "Head To The Sky." Jazz lovers should be an easy recruit here... Stirring in some spirituality into the mix certainly can't hurt - In fact, I think it makes perfect sense. If you are eager to know more about Ben Tankard, visit his Website at BenTankardMinistries.com or pick up a copy of his Best Selling book, "Faith It `Til You Make It." -Sandy Shore

"Ben Tankard has always been my favorite Gospel Jazz artist.

I have most of his CD's.This one is vintage Ben Tankard.Cut three,Touch and agree has a sound to it that is off the chart

in my opinion. It is soothing and elevating. The instrumental version of Jesus is Love is just as good as the one that Shirley

Murdock sings earlier on this CD.In conclussion, this CD ranks

with "Play Me In Your Key",Songs OF Solomon, and seeing Ben in

person. You can't go wrong with this one especially if you find

it online for around $10.00."
