"I am not sure how I came across this artist while browsing through Amazon. With no sound samples, a high price, and no name I had ever heard it was unlikely that I would ever purchase the cd. But a review on the single made it sound like something I needed. (On the "My Beautiful Demon" CD-Single page, by Kier Strickland. Read it, it describes the music very well. I wouldn't even bother writing a review it helped so much. But for whatever reason the review is on the single page instead of the full version. So there is a good chance you might never see it.)The moral of the story is that based on that review I bought it and am completely enjoying it. I get burnt out on music quite quickly because I listen all day - so I am always looking for new stuff.This is wonderful. Almost ethereal, seductive, and utterly charming it is a cd you owe it to yourself to buy. And unfortunately, until Amazon gets some sound samples online, you will just have to take my (and Kier Strickland's) word for it."

"This album was a bright beginning for this very overlooked artist. Ben Christophers brings together the chill of folk music and the meloncholy of my darker music through his lyrics to a very tasty selection of songs. 'My Favorite Demon' is just an awesome song.If you are into Radiohead, The Gathering, Sigur Ros, etc... this is a definite must have! You will thank yourself later.."

"I first came across the name Ben Christophers through my love for a band called No-Man, this led me onto a band called 'Darkroom' and I a guy called David Kosten, he has his own album called 'Faultline' which is well worth checking out for it's ambient weirdness and it was through Kosten producing this record that led me to the wonderful Ben Christophers.My girlfriend said he was like a male Tori Amos but I seen that as a slur and banned her from ever listening to the album again...shame on her!!!.What a voice this man has, such beauty. very reminiscent of the emotions that the voices of Billy Mackenzie and Jeff Buckley would stir up. This album is a must for people who adore beautifl music with wonderful vocals.An album to fall in love with and an album to be your companion through tragedy. If your looking for something a little bit special buy this."
