CD Reviews

Why does no one know?

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Bees (U.S.) are maybe one of the best kept secrets in contemporary music today. Why? This I can't figure out, because once they are heard, musically they are as good as anything out there. The title track of their latest album would definitely be a hit single in another time. The tightness of their harmonies, their overall songwriting abilities, and the quality of each song is second to none. It is amazing that this group is struggling for national attention. The few songs you hear from them on XM radio should be enough to convince you. The songs you don't hear are just as well done. This CD may be the most pleasant surprise purchase you will ever make."
Great, but don't pay the $40 for a used copy that dealers ar

"This is a wonderful band and a first-rate piece of pop music. However, even minor sleuthing on the Web will turn up new copies of this CD for $15, so paying the $40 merchants are asking for here is downright crazy, and doesn't help the band in any way. It's also available from iTunes. UPDATE: The band has changed its name to The Silver Seas and has reissued the album under that name. It's available as an MP3 download at Amazon."
