YOU ARE ABOUT TO WITNESS A DYNASTY LIKE NO OTHER!

"Let's get one thing clear. Roc-A-Fella is the top rap label right now. With Jay-Z dropping a classic album and Memphis Bleek dropping a good debut, it is Beanie Sigel's turn. A lot of people don't realize how nice this kid is on the mike. When you listen to the first song called "The Truth", you realize that this kid is blazin'. The next song wit' Bleek is tight as hell. "Raw and Uncut" featuring Jigga is tight too. The real tight joint on the album though is the underground hit "Mac Man". The song is brilliant. Beanie flows to a Pac Man beat, and uses classic names in video games to tell his story. His lyrics on this song are just ill. The next three songs are all good, but not as good as the one that follows. "Stop, Chill" is a slick song with an ill beat an tight lyrics. The rest of the album is tight too. When you listen to this album, you will realize that Beanie "Mac Man" Sigel has a bright future in this game. He's no Jay-Z, but I'll take him over Bleek. His debut is better than Bleek's. Also for anyone who doesn't have the bootleg version of Jay-Z Vol. 3, the classic song "Anything" is included on the album as a bonus track. It's a little out of place considering the dark depressing song right before it, plus Beanie isn't even on it. That makes it kind of strange that it's on there. Anyways, it's a dope song that should definitely have been released. Any Jay-Z fan should cop this because the beats are definitely reminiscent of Jay-Z's albums. This kid is nice, so if you like ill flows and tight beats that are not the norm, buy this joint."
Beanie Sigel - The Truth

"Jay-Z may have just outdone himself with this rookie. Philly native Beanie Sigel (aka Beanie Mac aka Beans) sells his demo in stores entitled "The Truth". This is his freshman release after touring the mix tape circuit. Beanie's flow is absolutely untouchable (check absolutely any track he's ever appeared on!) and pours his heart and soul into each and every track. Beanie Sigel is to Jay-Z what Biggie (RIP) was to Puffy. Jay brings the 'bling bling' factor while Beanie is his thugged out equal. While the disk is a diamond among the hip-hop zirconia's, it does (as every release) have it's not so hot spots. The ever so annoying Mac-Man track , with it's sample from the video game (yes i said video game) Pac-Man, is only made tolerable by Beanie's colorful transformation of video game characters into thugz and hustlaz. THAT'S IT. What were you looking for more bad spots? The only other gripe i would have is on the track with Scarface 'Mac & Brad'. The track fades out right when Scarface starts heat things up a bit! The hands down, shining star of 'The Truth' is the tru life testament of Beanie's life "What Your Life Like". Just listen to it. That's all I have to say! Oh, and what the hell is Jay-Z's "Anything" track doing on Beanie's album? Lastly, mark my words, this will be the best release of the new millenium and it is a must have! WATCH OUT JAY-Z, THE STUDENT IS ABOUT TO BECOME THE TEACHER!"
Beanie Sigel is the "TRUTH"

"Whether or not Sigel or this album spits the "Truth" its forever inevitiable, but you can never deny his lyrical skills on the mic. Sigel has always been the more talented recruit from Roc-A-Fella. With one killer cut, ("Truth"), produced by Kanye West, Sigel shows why he's a premier artist in the Hip-Hop game. Although this album does have it's short comings like many Roc-A-Fella releases, but the one's that shoutout greatness makes it more worthwhile to purchase this release."
