Synopsis

Album Description
"Midnight" is the exciting new release from New York City?s Baskervilles. The CD contains 7 freshly recorded tales, following the lovelorn adventures of today?s urban bohemians. Trust the Baskervilles to deliver absorbing pop based on whirlwind lifestyles. This release builds upon the band?s existing sound, adding new textures with nods and winks to the best underground new wave and indiepop of the late 70s and early 80s. "Midnight" also features the first ever cover songs recorded by the Baskervilles: "La Grande Illusion" originally by the Television Personalities and "Pictures Of You" originally by the Bartlebees. "Midnight" is the follow-up to the band?s excellent self-titled debut, released on Secret Crush Records in early 2004.

CD Reviews

Amazing and awesome - finally the Baskervilles 2nd release!
Nicole Eckstrom | New York, NY United States | 01/25/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Midnight is driving, electric and alive. The EP is the second release from the Baskervilles and the follow up to their wonderful debut. It is full of energy and catchy lyrics. I Danced With Kate Moss is cheeky and satirical. Another Free Show In Battery Park is even better than the original from the first album. It sounds like the band does live. The Television Personalities and Bartlebees covers are great. They add a new dimension to the original versions. Midnight makes me dance around the room!"
Very cool release..............

"Well if you are hip enough to be reading this than you are a pretty nifty individual, just get the CD - it's very melodic and short to the punch. The covers are real good too, vocalist does replicate Dan Treacy & the lead Bartlebess very well. The originals stack up well - if you're a fan of kinchy guitar pop ala Magic Marker,Kindercore or Jeepster than you can't go wrong here,I'll be picking up their debut shortly."
Guess what!!!
