Great music, poor packaging

"I had high hopes for this set -- a box set, from Bananarama, with b-sides too! Sweet!

But when I actually got it, it was totally underwhelming. First of all, there's all of one picture of the band. See the cover? That picture is repeated twice more on the liner notes. The liner notes themselves don't include any comments from the band, or producers, or critics -- just songwriter/copyright info for each song. Plus an ad for other midpriced greatest-hits sets by the likes of Bread. And another annoying thing -- the songs seem to be in approximate chronological order, but not exact chronological order. What's up with that?

So, the music is awesome, of course, but this is the first Rhino-related product I've been disappointed in in years. Seems like it was slapped together by the marketing department on a Friday afternoon. Can somebody do a real Bananarama box set sometime?

I guess I should've just gone with the album reissues..."

"well, i can't write anything bad about this group.

i have been a fan of theirs since the early 80s.

it is just another cd of their hits.

if you are a die hard fan, i would recommend purchasing this cd.

if you have some of their cds, then you are fine.
