"Well at first i was sceptical about The Balboas, i wasn't sure on what to expect from this band that was new to me. Then i heard Hurricane Party and i was hooked. The cover of Bombora is a good one but i still prefer The Surfaris version. Another song that is more of a spanish good time influence is Pesce Vino. From there on the songs just continue to play out The Balboas love for surf music, and it all ends with a song that just became one of my favorites; that being Throttle.The Balboas are comprised of Rich Griffith who plays lead guitar, Rick Frei who plays rhythm guitar, Ben Edwards who plays drums and adds the vocals, Caitlin O'Shea who adds a fantastic bass guitar and finally Mark Healy with the vocals and percussion. The Balboas have a great tune that is both unique and similar to surf music. If you find most other surf bands to be good then you will enjoy The Balboas, if you don't just give a try. Who knows? you might not be dissapointed."

But this album is a muddy mess. Every instrument is being played at every moment, and all are set at the exact same volume."
