The best song on the record IMHO is "Arrow Through Me", very catchy and well sung. And of course there's the perennial holiday hit, "Wonderful Christmastime". Beware of filler though with Paul. "Spin It On"/"Again and Again and Again" and pretty much everything after "To You" is just bland and repetitive." It was recorded around the time that the London Town album was recorded (on a yacht in the Montserot Islands)and has some great songs on it. Arrow Through Me and I've Had Enough were the hits from this album, but the Rockestra songs as well as the contributions from Denny Laine make it a great album. Lots of rock and roll and entertainment value for the money. Recommended!!" Clipped Wings Scott T. Rivers | Los Angeles, CA USA | 07/13/2009 (3 out of 5 stars) "Paul McCartney and Wings' final album is a directionless mess not unlike "Red Rose Speedway." Still, "Back to the Egg" (1979) has its moments. The funky Top 30 hit "Arrow Through Me" is worth revisiting, along with the Grammy-winning "Rockestra Theme," the punk-influenced "Spin It On" and the oddly affecting "The Broadcast." Unfortunately, "Getting Closer," "Old Siam, Sir" and "So Glad to See You Here" are disappointing rockers hindered by McCartney's shallow lyrics. The less said about throwaways such as "We're Open Tonight" and "After the Ball/Million Miles," the better. Paul's underrated tribute to the Mills Brothers, "Baby's Request," would have made a terrific B-side single. Though an improvement over "At the Speed of Sound" and "London Town," the Wings concept had run out of steam - hence the resumption of McCartney's solo career in 1980."
