Great combination: Bach & oboe

"Douglas Boyd and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe are magnificent. They play with power, sensitivity, and virtuosity. The rhythms are crisp and the oboe's articulation is impressive.

If you like Bach (and oboe) but want to hear some not-as-often heard material, this is a great addition to your collection. I don't listen to classical music that often (even though I have a lot of it), but this CD is always a joy. My favorite movement is the Presto of the second concerto (track 6) - even my non-classically minded younger sister loved it. Enjoy!"
