"Bach: Matthäus-Passion (St. Matthew's Passion) / Sir Georg Solti is a recording under the direction of Sir Georg Solti and was recorded by The Decca Record Company Limited in 1988 and features the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The booklet is quite massive and contains 115 pages. In here we linernotes by Clifford Bartlett, lyrics in German, English and French. We also get a photograph of the vocalists on the front along with several other photographs from the time of the recording. We also have a painting of Bach himself dated from 1748. This is one of my favorite works by Bach and every easter I listen to it and being a devout christian I love the lyrics and Bach's heartfealt devotion and faith. 5/5."
