CD ReviewsOk esseyo | Jersey City, NJ United States | 03/06/2009 (3 out of 5 stars) "I love Dantone's WTC 2 which is probably the best harpsichord WTC 2 I've heard so far. But in WTC 1, he is too indulgent. Which is perfectly fine in the preludes, but it seems to me that when you pause too often and use too much rubato in the fugues, it totally breaks up the counterpoint. And this is what happens with Dantone fugue after fugue.
I like Dantone so I'll keep this CD regardless but it is not one I return to often." |
