Synopsis

Album Description
New studio album from the only British artist to be featured in Classic Rock's Top 10 Contemporary Blues Artists alongside the White Stripes, The Black Keys, John Mayer, John Spencer, and more. Influenced from an early age by '60s R&B, Aynsley Lister takes these key elements and mixes them with a more current, melodic lyrical approach. He is one of very few artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge--tangible, heartfelt, soul-searching, and full of fine songwriting, played with passion and vitality. Since signing to Ruf Records, Lister has recorded four solo studio albums and two live albums, along with a live DVD for Germanys ROCKPALAST TV show. He has sold over 75,000 records and headlines many of the major festivals throughout Europe.

CD Reviews

Smokin' Hot
Blues Deciple | Bluesville, USA | 10/07/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Who the heck is Ansley Lister? I stumbled on a track from this CD while listening to the BB King Bluesville satelite radio show "Stone Blue" one night. Wow...this kid can flat out play. Wish he would tour the states...I'd love to catch him live. Best thing about him is he's not trying to be the next Stevie Ray...he's playing his stuff the way he wants. Grab it and ENJOY!!"
Pump up the volume
Paul New | Morpeth, England | 07/26/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Crank the volume up loud and enjoy a cracking album of driving blues/rock from Britain's best young guitarist. He deserves greater recognition than he has received so far - no question. If you haven't listened to him yet give him a try - you won't be disappointed."
