Hear the Roar Of The Rooster
Kid Byron | Third Stone From the Sun | 01/21/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"First of all, if you like something unusual in your music then you should give a listen to this sadly overlooked group from the early 1970's Atomic Rooster. Think ELP with much more drive and more structure with the songs being rock and blues orientated. The comparison to ELP is really based on the swirling organ of the legendary and sadly late leader of AR named Vincent Crane who needs to be heard to be appreciated. In addition, this absoluetly gorgeous box set is truly a rare find and each of AR's first 3 classic recordings come housed in a glossy gatefold edition which is true to all of the original album artwork plus there is a book about AR and all of this has been approved by Vincent's wife Ms. J. Chessman. Finally, if you want to purchase this item buy it from Import CD Specialists as they are wonderful to buy from and have what I would consider one of the best offerings of hard to find music at very fair prices."
