CD Reviews

A Chant to the possible future of mankind
Juan R Cortes | New Haven, Connecticut United States | 08/01/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Personally I just listen of Ataraxia this album and "In Perpetuam..". Lost Atlantis must be understand it as a voyage, a voyage where we go to the past but also we look into the future. This album is musical research of the myth of Atlantis. This is clear with the introduction of text of Madamme Blabasky from the book of Dizan, a Sapho's Poem, etc..Musically speaking, Lost Atantlis is a kind of electronic opera. The synths are widely used here and is remarkable the acustic guitars and the voice of Francesca Nicolli. The voice of this girl is totally different to the rest of the voices in the under scene. Her voice is a chant to the despair, misery and hope. She can reach tunes from a soprano to a very low frequencies. In my view, the best theme of the album is "Aperlae", a master piece of 10 minutes with a well developed guitar, precise synths and a extraordinary voice. In "Dolphins ", the synths reach their maximum quality. "Fountains" is a strong songs, where fellings of misery are present, this track has similarities with the work of "Devil Doll".I recommend buy this album, for people who love bands as Dead Can Dance, Ordo Equitum Solis, Love is colder than Death, etc. You will enjoyed as much I have enjoyed. If you like Britney Spears you must buy this album for learning which is real music."
Excellent work
